Position: Release Engineer

Location: Harleysville, PA (Need Local)

Skills

Experience in C# & Power shell, Team foundation server

6+ years experience related to software release management and computer operations along with software admin configuration management exp.  Responsible for assembly, installation, and deployment of systems software products to include .NET, Java, WebMethods and other enterprise applications.

• At least 8 years industry experience related to software release management and computer operations along with software administration configuration management experience. 

• Work with application development teams and other configuration management team members to control the release of application systems

• Assist with development, support, and use of configuration management strategies, tools and utilities.  Proficient in C# and PowerShell technologies

• Provide coordination/implementation of development team deliverables using established software version control systems and build processes

• Responsible for the assembly, installation, and deployment of systems software products to include .NET, Java, WebMethods and other key enterprise applications

• Have knowledge in specific tools as needed such as Microsoft .NET framework and Team Foundation Server, WebMethods or equivalent technologies

• Knowledge in setting up, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft IIS, WebMethods as well as all other desktop integrated development tools.

The Application Services Engineer is responsible for providing support and maintenance of the Application Production and Test Environments, and executes the service transition process for transitioning Applications into the Production environment and insuring support structures are in place.  This role fulfills standard and non-standard application service requests in support of application development and testing, DR Testing, IT Service Management (ITSM) process support, transition to run activities, and production environment configurations. 

Serves as an expert in hardware/software systems engineering.  Undertakes the most complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.  Makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous hardware/software systems engineering issues.  Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.  Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements the most complex hardware/software components, tools, and utilities.  Makes the most complex modifications to existing hardware/software to fit specialized needs and configurations.  Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team.  Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff through formal and informal mentoring.  Monitors project schedules and costs.
