Instant Technology is currently seeking a Lead Java Developer for an opportunity in Richardson, TX. This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Web or Java applications in a large Java enterprise online environment.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Assist when needed on technical planning of environment build-out and development activities to eliminate roadblocks
- Compose and review required technical documentation needed to comply with SDLC standards.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand components being developed
- Help facilitate knowledge transfer for support transition from external team to internal IT team.
- Work closely with management on communication and escalation of issues and risks
Required Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in software development, installation and modification in an online environment
- Proficient with Struts, MVC, and open source Java frameworks and technologies such as Apache Common utility
- Skilled with SSO, SAML, Spring, Hibernate, Dojo, Ant, JDBC, SQL, DB2 and RAD 7.x. UML J2EE Technologies, HTML, MQ, and JSP
- Strong design, development and testing skills on Java Web Service components
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Strong design, development and testing skills on Java batch processing of XML files out of MQ
- Knowledgeable in processes for development, cycle, and production environment code promotion for distributed applications
- Understanding of distributed platform infrastructure and architecture
- Experience in performance tuning and scalability of internal and vendor applications
- Proficient with applications using Java, WebSphere, and DB2
- Skilled in technology integration
- Experience using third-party add-ons and/or add-on development
- Deep knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and software development life cycle
