Role:  Network Engineer
Location: NY
Duration: 1 month 

SCOPE OF SERVICES  

Analyzing agency load balancing requirements specifically related to the agencies Capitol Project Construction Management workflow applications known as PIMS
Provide node setup and readiness for load balancing
Perform application tier clustering, load balancer configuration and testing
Provide assistance with SSL configuration

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience of design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large network consisting of Load balancing, WAN, LAN, and VPNs.
• 2+ years of experience of working with Citrix Netscalar load balancing appliances
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.
• Ability to effectively summarize and clearly communicate infrastructure hardware/software problems involving multiple support team(s).
• Ability to manage concurrent projects to plan. Organized, able to lead, follow through and complete projects with minimal supervision. Self-motivated and adaptable to change; able to work productively in a team setting.
• Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively as well as function with no supervision, under tight deadlines, and demonstrate initiative in problem solving
• Demonstrate ability to execute and perform timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
• Demonstrate competency in the use of project management tools and methodologies.

• Demonstrate expertise in configuring advance load balancing algorithm like (but not limited to) cookie persistence, priority group, etc. is required

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Working knowledge SSL PKI and VPN is required.
• Understanding of LTM interaction with Apache
• Experience with interaction between network and other technologies that include firewalls  and virtualization pools
• Ability to troubleshoot web load balancing through use of tools such as Fiddler, HTTPWatch, etc. is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in routing protocols like (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRRP, IP, HSRP, BGP for dual ISP, etc. protocols) and set up load balancing using BGP for dual ISP
• 3-5 years of experience with layer-2, layer-3, and/or layer-4 network protocols and technologies, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, NFSv4.x, SMB 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
