Network Engineer (VSAT) in Germantown, MD (contract)
This position will implement systems improvements within the client's NOC Network Infrastructure. Will generate/provide status reports, provide network anomaly analysis, work engineering changes/upgrades, and security vulnerabilities. Will implement VOIP, gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Terminal Servers, NTP Servers and Routing Protocols. Will identify, test, develop, and implement new networking technologies. Will support switch and router hardware/software in an enterprise network environment.
MUST HAVE:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Computer Science or related field
• 4-8 years of Network Engineering experience
• Satellite Network Experience (VSAT based network)
• VSAT - Vxworks based HN700
• Strong experience with Routers & Switches (Cisco)
• Firewall experience (Fortinet)
• BGP
• EIGRP
• MPLS
NICE TO HAVE:
• Masters Degree or higher
• PEP
• Aloha
• Stream
• VRRP
• FAC
• IPsec
