Responsibilities

•                    Developing, configuring, installing, and maintaining the VMWare infrastructure and Windows server operating systems in a multi-platform mission critical environment including changes, break fix, tuning and optimization, builds and security hardening, etc.

•                    Perform daily system maintenance tasks, service delivery, system functionality and availability and keeping technology current with the industry standards and best practice.

•                    Assist the project team to build, maintain, and support development ,QA test and Production environments and infrastructure (e.g. backup system, storage, etc.) in order to establish a proper development environment

•                    Assist the  project team with hardware and system software installation/configuration/optimization to meet the requirements of the system design

•                    Document the final system configuration, installation and operation procedure of the development/QA and production environment in order to make sure the Systems Design Document is current

•                    Monitor performance and availability of hardware, services, and applications to ensure that the development environment does not impact the project schedule, and that the production environment meets system requirements needs

•                    Participate in testing, evaluation, and implementation of related software products (including new products, software packages, operating systems, and facilities) in order to ensure the software used in the project is compatible from end-to-end

•                    Making recommendations for forecasting the growth of the Virtualization and Windows server environments, designing/engineering recommendations for upgrades, technology shifts and redesigns to stay current, competitive and provide an optimized backend infrastructure         

 

Skills needed

•                    72 months of experience as a Systems Administrator/Engineer responsible for managing Windows based operating systems and hardware and a virtualized infrastructure environment.

•                    VMware, ESXi, vSphere, VMWare Update Manager.

•                    60 months of experience in implementation of clustering, failover/recovery and load balancing strategies for Windows servers in VMWare environment.

•                    60 Months of experience in SQL Server and Oracle database environments.

•                    60 Months of experience in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)

•                    60 Months of experience in System Center Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

•                    36 Months of experience in Active Directory and System Center Orchestrator
