Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Provide expert level design, implementation, and future enhancements for supporting Citrix and Windows server infrastructure at the enterprise level. Provide expert comprehensive support for all Citrix and Windows server-related issues, and provide proactive and reactive management, and migrations of existing systems as well as the implementation of new server infrastructure systems for RAC employees worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide expert-level design and support of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop infrastructure
· Provide team leadership for Windows System Administrators to ensure coordination of infrastructure projects and support requirements
· Provide expert-level systems administration for Windows server infrastructure environments
· Provide expert-level design and support of infrastructure directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP authentication
· Provide expert-level email and email support infrastructure and environment design, implementation, and administration services, to include email archival and spam support systems
· Analyze system performance and suggest/implement tuning as needed, to include Performance Monitoring, implementation of Event Alerts, and monthly Availability Reporting
· Identify opportunities to develop system tools and utilities (i.e. scripts, etc.) to simplify and support IT and business operations
· Scope, plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams
· Establish & maintain technical standards & server security policies
· Patch Windows servers and associated hardware components, both software and firmware, on scheduled basis as well as urgent security releases
· Document and improve upon processes, procedures, and best practices to align with industry standards and customer needs
· Meet Disaster Recovery requirements to ensure Business Resumption requirements
· Identify and instill highest protection for server and data infrastructure through consistent follow up on backups for production and non-production server protection/restore requirements
· Provide highest-level customer satisfaction to internal and external customers, applying necessary sense of urgency and creativity in complex problem identification and prompt incident resolution
· Perform on-call responsibilities as well as project related work requiring off-hours support
· Additional duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· Previous experience as a Windows Server System Administrator, or Exchange Email Administrator (5+ years' experience)
· Advanced and current certifications (i.e. Microsoft Server MCSE, certifications,VMware/Citrix certifications, Exchange certifications, etc.)
· Expert support knowledge and build/implementation/consolidation experience of Microsoft Windows Server OS, 32 & 64 bit system architecture using Intel/AMD and UCS hardware platforms
· Expert knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Windows Cluster Servers
· Expert knowledge and implementation support experience working with Virtual Environments, such as VMware, Citrix XenServer
· Expert knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop infrastructure components such as Licensing, Web Interface, Provisioning Services, Zone Data Collectors, Desktop Delivery Controllers, EdgeSight, and User/Computer Policies
· Expert knowledge of Exchange/Outlook mail cluster on-premise and cloud infrastructure systems, Enterprise Vaulting/Archival Systems, Spam/Phishing prevention support systems, and Mobile Device Security support systems.
· Expert knowledge of LVM2/device mapper, RPM Package Management/Maintenance, DNS and TCP/IP networking concepts, HP Rapid Deployment Pack (RDP), HP System Insight Manager (SIM)
· Expert working knowledge and migration experience with directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP authentication
· Expert knowledge and experience working with Oracle and MS SQL Database support and cluster concepts
· Expert knowledge and experience working with UCS/HP Blade Servers, Enclosures, Stand-Alone Servers, including HBA and SAN environment technology
· Working knowledge of sendmail, ssh, DNS, http, ssl and other key services
· Working experience in business critical production Data Center environment
· Expert knowledge and experience with solving complex problems through solid analytical problem solving skills
· High sense of urgency and accountability
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with excellent and timely written and verbal communication skills, including consistent change/add documentation, status update reporting, and providing timely status updates
· Evidence of customer focus and proven ability to serve in team leadership role to coordinate team projects and support requirements, with a "customer and team-first" mentality
