Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Software Engineer will be to work on web-based applications used for Corporate Trust and other financial service industries. Specific development efforts will be focused on transactional processing.
Qualifications include:
5+ Years overall program experience with C# or C++ at least 2+ with C# with the following skills:
• Web Service creation using C# (WSE, WCF) .NET 3.0, .NET 3.5
• Must understand object oriented programming, inheritance, polymorphism,…
• Must understand service orient architecture/programming
• Microsoft Foundation Classes
• Used ODBC/OLE calls to MSSQL Database
• C#/C++ debug skills
Experience using MSSQL:
• Can create and alter SQL tables, functions, and procedures
• SQL debug skills
• Understand cursors, table variables, output parameters, identity columns, temporary tables their scope
• Understand database normalization
• Understand Inner and Outer joins to tables
Must be able to interface with customers:
• Design, develop, and implement customer's documented functional specifications
• Design, develop, and implement customer's verbal functional specifications
• Work with customer to achieve correct functional specification
• Support customer production problems
Additional skills useful in the "ideal" candidate include:
• Have worked with ASP.NET, VB.NET
• Have worked with HTML, JavaScript, and VBScript
• Design ASP type pages for both display and server processing
• Debug skills for HTML, JavaScript, and VBScript code
• Understand basics of financial applications
• Understand Cookies and Secure Cookies
• Have worked with or developed Snap-ins for Microsoft's MMC
• Have worked with or developed software using MQ
• Have worked with or developed software using IP sockets
• Have worked with or developed COM objects
• Have worked with SWIFT message formats
Other Required Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate opinions and ideas.
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Autonomy to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure in a team environment
Must be organized and self-starting
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong understanding of computing environments
(client-server applications, web applications, networks, databases)
Strong analytical and problem-solving
Candidate will become part of development team that supports and enhances the CAMRA product and related modules. Day-to-day responsibilities will include both maintenance programming and new development.
