Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst 3 - J2EE

Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a mid level QA Engineer who will work with a team of developers and business users to test software releases and support customer-facing applications under the supervision of the QA .
This resource will need to interact with developers, business and management to ensure requirements are fully understood and tested.
1. Responsible for functional testing, end-to-end test planning, reporting and drafting test plans.
2. Responsible for setting-up automated test suite and able to run automated scripts in QTP or Selenium WebDriver.
3. Executing test cases/ test plans against test environments. Analyzing and documenting test results.
4. Raising and tracking defects in Jira. Identify quality and performance issues in new features developed and write clear description in Jira.
5. Troubleshooting issues found in QA
6. Liaising with developers and product management on issue tracking and raising risks with the QA .
7. Ability to communicate clearly with QA and other departments to provide regular stats on QA tasks
8. Ability to multi-task
9. Ability to work independently with little supervision
10. Perform tool evaluations and participate in creation of standards and guidelines along with other QA team members

Business Experience:
1. 5+ years in software testing
2. Healthcare experience- preferred

Specialized Knowledge/ Skills:
1. 5+ years experience working in a formal application development environment with an established SDLC and defect life-cycle using AGILE methodologies.
2. 5+ years experience in all phases of functional, regression, smoke and acceptance testing.
3. 4+ years experience with relational database analysis. Ability to interpret and understand database schemas to ensure database integrity.
4. 5+ years experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL and UNIX
5. 4+ years experience working with XML and EDI files, preferred
6. 2+ years experience PHP testing, preferred
7. 5+ years experience testing web-based applications. J2EE and SOA platform, preferred
8. 3+ years experience with automation: QTP or Selenium, preferred

Software Skills SQL Yes Advanced
Software Skills Atlassian Jira preferred
Software Skills Quality Center preferred
