Sr.Java developer
1 contract

    Duration: 6 months 

Location: Chicago, IL

 

    LOCAL RESUMES ONLY. OUTSIDE OF IL CANDIDATES WON'T BE CONSIDERED. 

Java with Spring/Hibernate & JBoss will fill the need totally, Jaspersoft report experience & Liferay a plus. 

 

 The contract position is for a shorter duration (  6 months) and should be a slightly higher level of resource than the others..  Skills listed above are critical plus the "nice to have".  Depending on resource, will work for two different managers at client site.

Job Description:

The person filling this position will be responsible for performing all parts of the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

·         Perform requirements gathering, documentation, system analysis, development, test, implementation and support of existing and new programs, individually or in a small team.

·         Make design, code, architecture and implementation recommendations which would increase company revenue and/or increase customer satisfaction.

·         Work on multiple projects and support assignments concurrently.

·         Solve problems quickly and accurately.

·         Learn and apply new technologies that emerge and impact our systems.

·         Follow departmental and company standards and methodologies.

Qualifications:

·         College degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

·         Minimum of 4-6 years working experience with Java/Unix/Oracle-based development.

·         Highly proficient and experienced in Java and Spring/Hibernate.

·         Proficient and experienced in Unix and Oracle.

·         Proficient and experienced in object-oriented programming.

·         Proficient and experienced in client/server, n-tier and/or distributed systems and architecture.

·         Experienced in project leadership.

·         Excellent communications skills.
