Cognos BI/Planning Consultant
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 3 months +
Phone Interview.
70% Cognos BI and 30% Cognos Planning
Primary responsibilities include:
IBM Cognos BI experience.
Work closely with business user areas to assure that their needs are being met.
Person should be able to understand Financial budgeting and forecasting
Person should be an experienced modeler to help with the daily administration and development of several Cognos Planning applications
Experience with user support is a must
Experience in providing training is desirable
Research best practices and provide end user support for application use, programming technique, data access
Required skills, education, and experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience in Cognos BI and Cognos Planning, business analysis with demonstrated analytical, problem solving and partnership skills.
5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on areas within his/her accountability.
Clients Skills in sound judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking.
