Requirement:

Looking for a Systems Engineer skilled in application configuration and release management.  This position calls for someone with 3-5 years of experience.  This is open to C2C candidates and client is willing to take out of town candidates as long as they are willing to relocate themselves.

Requirements / Skills:

 

·         Understanding all characteristics/features of hardware being used and all system performance principles. – Preferred.

·         Ability to debug any system problems / application issues, and ability to perform procedures necessary for DR recovery.

·         Recommends and performs changes in system parameters to obtain optimum system performance.

·         Develop and support relatively complex programs using a common high level programming language.

·         Diagnose complex system problems using dumps, traces or other diagnostics aids.

·         Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators such as queue lengths, CPU utilization, etc.

·         Install program products and system components or aid in installation by end users.

·         Develop user mods for installation of customized exist routines, device drives and other system modifications.

·         Develop optimum system configurations and plans for installation of hardware devices.

·         Recommend and change system parameters or configuration variables to improve overall system performance.

·         Write commands or processes for execution under multiple system environments.

·         Review job control/scripts developed by less experienced staff members and assist in modifications of same for optimum performance and operation.

·         Utilizes online system to assist with tasks encountered in execution of daily responsibilities such as utility functions and editing of files. 

 

Education/Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. – Preferred.
