Job Discription :
Responsible for the overall day to day running of Release Management process and activities:
o Gets involved with Service planning team to enable Release Planning and scheduling
o The Release Manager is responsible for ensuring that each release follows all policies and procedures associated with the process.
o Ensures effective co-ordination of activities to roll out a new release or other production environment change in an effective and efficient manner.
o Ensures smooth and efficient implementation of production changes in stable environments thereby minimizing the effects of releases and other production changes on service levels
o Ensures that comprehensive and accurate management information about the quality of production releases is available.
o Ensures better utilization and productivity of CI owners by only involving those necessary for implementation of the specific change under consideration.
o Develops, audits, monitors and enforces established release management processes and policies in support of cross-domain configuration integration, testing, completeness and consistency.
o Provides support to domain-specific release management resources in a timely and efficient manner.
o Coordinates release program activities and functions as a subject matter expert in release management.
o Supervision of release coordinators and escalation point for release issues
