Embedded Software Engineer

 

Selected candidates will get the opportunity to work with a dynamic hands-on engineering team, working on developing prototypes for cutting-edge consumer electronics / industrial / scientific products geared to provide 3D / augmented reality experience, covering a broad spectrum applications. Besides hands-on system software development work, other tasks shall include -

Triaging software failures, debugging stability problems.

Identifying, verifying, and propagating fixes for the software failures.

Working closely with development teams to support the fix process. 

 

Mountain View, CA, 6 months

 

 

Key qualifying skills:

Excellent C programming skills

Kernel-mode embedded Linux Driver Development

OS porting

Board Support Package (BSP)

Good understanding of boot loaders and U-boot.

Proven ability and interest in debugging complex embedded software systems.

Strong background in Computer Science and fundamentals of debugging embedded software.

Familiarity with C++ and Java.  

Highly desirables (any):

Familiarity with the Android OS software stack.

Experience with Git and build systems. 

Desirables (any):

Developing drivers for graphics interfaces / ports.

Prior experience with Android and/or Qualcomm MSM software platforms. 

Education:

Preferably an undergraduate level degree / diploma in Computer Science / Computational Mathematics  / Electronics / EE or similar field of study with strong programming background in C
