Role: Business Analyst
Location: Des Moines, IA
Duration: 9-12 Months
Rate: $48/hr on C2C
Senior Business Analyst with specific government application experience.
The Business Analyst (BA) plans, develops, tests and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems:
Evaluates user request for new or modified program.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Leads analysis and solution definition.
Understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization.
Identifies organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
Develops functional and non-functional specifications, uses cases and system design specifications for systems.
Conducts effective joint applications development and brainstorming sessions.
Interviews and surveys subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
Understands the agile development and the universal modeling language.
Required / Desired Skills
Large Software Development Project (16 FTEs), concerning Tax Credits
Using Microsoft Technologies including SQL Server, Visual Studio, MVC 5 and Bootstrap
Detailed oriented Business analyst with strong Data mapping skills
Three or more years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
Ability to work independently
Ability to work with Developers, Models as well as Users from multiple state agencies including OCIO, IDR, IEDA
Multiple years of knowledge and experience using EFT tools, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Ability to use SQL and or Access and or SSIS
