Title : User Experience UX Design Lead
Location : Bloomington, IL
Duration : 6 Months
Job Description:
· Experienced UX Lead to inspire user experience professionals in execution of consumer facing user centered design projects.
· You will motivate multi-disciplinary teams including UX Architects, Content Strategists, Interaction Designers and UX Designers to deliver innovative user experiences that align to the strategic vision and business requirements identified by internal business partners.
· Working closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers, the UX Lead helps to define timelines and workflows to ensure that digital artifacts are delivered on time and in adherence to our existing UX Pattern Library and Digital Style Guide.
· Leads a cross-disciplinary team in the design of user experiences, development of high-level concepts, application user interfaces, and digital artifacts, for example: scenarios, concept models, conceptual flows, high-level wireframes, interaction flows, detailed wireframes, screen specifications, and cross channel initiatives ·
· Promotes and facilitates creative collaboration across project teams ·
· Serves as the primary liaison among user interface teams ·
· Collaborates closely with user researchers, business, and project teams of business analysts, designers, copywriters, and developers to optimize digital user experience and promote mobile first philosophy ·
· Utilizes research insights to build an in-depth understanding of target user's needs, tasks, and goals as they apply to design ·
· Possesses a strong understanding of digital user interface design and digital user experiences for online and mobile products ·
· HFI Certification preferred ·
· Creates and implements strategic and tactical creative solutions ·
· Acts as the primary point of accountability for the creation of Digital Artifacts by working with and leading the User Experience Design team ·
· Works with User Experience Design teams to organize, schedule, and control the creative effort of projects, while effectively managing scope ·
· Responsible for meeting Digital Experience Standards or filing deviation exception requests, as appropriate ·
· Brings perspective that incorporates leading and emerging practices, and technology, from the digital landscape to identify valuable concepts and applies these in innovative ways to meet business and user needs and expectations ·
· Ensures overall digital design process adheres to the project requirements, objectives, and timeline ·
· Provides input to, and ultimately must agree with, specific measures to address future objectives for the user experience and business case that were unable to be completed as part of the original project ·
· Works closely with Business and Systems Leads to identify and enable solutions to achieve the desired user experience ·
· Responsible for UX Design Team's compliance to centered design processes ·
· Understand and clarify project scope, research goals, timelines, and priority ·
· Drives innovative thinking to set the bar for best-in-class centered design teams delivery ·
· Collaborates closely with business analysts and project stakeholders, project managers, and developers ·
· Accountable for delivery of all digital artifacts to ensure they reflect all aspects of the UX solution (UI framework and flows, style guide components/deviations, conditional interactions and error states, final content/copy) ·
· Engage with leadership, other stakeholders to raise design issues/risks ·
· Facilitate collaborative reviews of Digital Artifacts at key points during the design process Items of Note ·
· HFI Certification preferred Common Educational Backgrounds: o Human Factors o Human Computer Interaction o Information Architecture o UX Design o Interface Design o Interactive Design o Visual Communication o Graphic Design o Web Design Work Experience: o Work experience in design and or interaction / information architecture across multiple digital platforms. o Experience in responsive web and native application design
