Role: Hadoop Admin

Location: San Francisco ,CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Must be GC/Citizen with 3 years of permanent residency

· Extensive IT experience in software development & production support in Data Warehousing/ETL, Big Data and Hadoop.

· Experience in Hadoop installation including setting up and configuring (Multi-Node) cluster.

· Hands on experience in installing and configuring Hadoop & Hadoop eco system components like Pig, Hive. Oozie

· Worked on Multi Clustered environment and setting up Hadoop eco system.

· Analyzing data using Hive QL, PIG Latin and custom Map Reduce programs.

· Optimizing HQLs for better performance.

· Good knowledge on Map Reduce Framework & HDFS Architecture.

· Good knowledge in Hadoop Shell Commands.

· Having Working Knowledge on Sqoop and Flume for Data Processing.

· Having good working Knowledge on UNIX Commands and Oracle.

· Writing automation scripts to reduce manual intervention in different support activities..

· 3+ years of experience in Hadoop, NoSQL infrastructure administration preferably MapR distribution.

· Manage extracting, loading and transforming data in and out of Hadoop, primarily using Hive, Sqoop, and distcp.

· Proficiency with Shell scripts and administration tools like Ganglia.

· Experience with deployment tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible etc.

· Familiarity with YARN, HIVE, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka
