Our client, located in Providence RI,  is seeking a Data warehouse/ETL Engineer in its Providence, RI, office for a long term contract with the opportunity to be hired directly for the appropriate candidate.  They want local candidates who have strong SQL expertise.

Duties :

 

•       Take responsibility for design, development and implementation of the company's next generation Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes and programs.

•       Create/modify database design artifacts such as ERD, Data dictionary, etc.

•       Work with other departments such as QA, Customer Experience , Product Management, Technical Operations, and Production Operations to deliver the solution

•       Help achieve customer satisfaction by supporting the applications' production issues

•       Function independently and in a team environment to overcome ambiguity and deliver results.

 

Requirements :

 

•       Must have 5-7 years of application development experience 8 years

•       Must have prior experience with ETL processes and tools. 5 +years

•       Must have experience on SSIS and SSAS. 6 yeras

•       Must have at least 3-5 years of SQL Server(2008/2014)/Oracle/Vertica development experience (Should be strong in writing complex queries and/or stored procedures with good debugging and performance tuning skills). 5+years

•       Must have Java/.Net development experience. VB script, window s 3+ years .net / 2+ years java

•       Must have prior experience with PowerShell. 5+years Microsoft office

•       Must have excellent software design and documentation skills

•       Must have excellent organization skills

•       Good understanding of work flow based processes and systems is required

•       Must be able to identify and develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to address requirements Yes

•       Must be able to develop data/metadata models and technical specifications 3+5

•       Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment

•       Must be able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and management

•       Must be able to work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently

•       Experience in multi-developer/multi-site environment a plus

•       Experienced in successfully delivering high profile technology efforts within a highly pressured environment.

 

Education :

 

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical training and professional work experience
