Duration: Full time (Only GC's and Citizens)
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintain the Installer for all the product portfolios, handle build creation and release, and work with cross functional teams to deploy.
Responsibilities
· Your overall responsibilities will include:
· Maintain and enhance the installer of different products using Install Shield.
· Collaborating with the cross product engineering teams to provide release engineering services
· Establishing, managing and maintaining build environments.
· Working with IT on supporting and maintaining infrastructure
· Learning and apply industry best practices for release engineering, including fast build and deploy
· Ensuring ongoing health and operation of the build systems
· Help creating automated build, deploy and test environment
· Ensure Smoke tests are maintained and ran on periodic basis
Qualifications
· 3 years' experience as a Release and Build Engineer with daily interaction with software development practices
· Experience creating Installer using Install Shield needed
· Experience with source control tools.
· Experience with multiple scripting languages; Examples: Shell scripts, Python, Bash and Windows batch scripts
· Experience with compilers (Visual Studio, GCC, etc)
· Experience with Jenkins and Jenkins plugins
· Experience with Hyper-V or VMware virtualization, ESXi and Workstation for Linux and Windows
· Experience with code management and bug tracking tools
· Experience with GIT desired
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Must be proactive, self-motivated and attentive to detail
· Must be able to work well under pressure and in a highly kinetic environment
· Experience of branching and merging strategies plus
· Hands on experience with various operating systems (Windows and Linux) plus
· Team player, strong commitment to customer service, tenacious problem solver
· Proven experience working successfully across cross-functional teams.
