Role: Lead Java Developer with Agile/XP Coach

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 4 Months

 

Job Description:

 

-Senior Agile/XP Coach Consultant with proficiency and knowledge in the application of XP Design Principles and Agile development practices with the respect to Java, PL/SQL, and Oracle technologies.

-This consultant should have working knowledge of Jenkins and Sonar ideally, and have 8 years of combined technical software engineering and coaching experience.
-Consultant will work with selected Agile/Scrum team members to improve the skills with respect to XP Design Principles and Agile development practices.

 

These would include:
 

>Code Reviews

>Pair/Team Programming

>Test-driven development (TDD)

>Behavior-driven development (BDD)

>Acceptance test-driven development (ATDD)

>Refactoring

>Evolutionary Design

>Unit test and establishing automated test cases

Responsibilities:

 

>Coach developers across the organization in Agile and XP practices by applying engineering background and a hands-on technical approach to coaching

>Support department's Agile transition from Waterfall to Scrum

>Support the full development and testing lifecycle using automation tools and workflows (Test Automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery)

>Lead and mentor team members to maximize the their potential with regards to XP Design Principles and Agile development practices
