Role: Hadoop Admin

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Duration: 1 Year +

Experience Range: 8-10 years

Rate: $56/hr on C2C

 

Must-Have

•At least 8 years of industry experience in Information Technology.

Must have 2 years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem architecture, preference to Horton works.

•Deep Knowledge of Unix/Linux, Python, Perl or other scripting languages

•Hands on experience in Oracle OBIEE

•Past project engagements with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), Analytics, Enterprise Dashboard, Key performance Indicators (KPIs), Master Data Management and  Data governance

•Must have demonstrable experience of NoSQL: Hadoop/HBase/HDFS, MongoDB,

•Deep Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS Platforms

•Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Should be a self-starter who demonstrates complete ownership over assigned objectives and is able to work independently

•Highly organized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication and scheduling among different levels of staff

•Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercising discretion and tact Good-to-Have         

 

Responsibilities              

As a Technology specialist in Hadoop/Data warehouse, you will be responsible in building and administering the Hadoop ecosystem and overlooking the various data warehouse applications.  

•Responsibilities include:

Provide technology consultations on recommendation of the products/tools

•Lead Proof of concept developments

•Identify Big data opportunities to drive revenue growth

•Assist in defining scope and estimate the effort

•Implement high quality solutions for identified opportunities.

•Passion for technology and the desire to learn, embracing and adopting the learned new technology.
