Data Analyst

Location : Detroit, MI

Duration : 6 months + Extension

 

The Data Analyst is responsible for translating large, complex data into easily consumable information. This individual leverages business knowledge and analytics to ensure cohesiveness between business needs and data-driven solutions.

 

Responsibilities

·         Consult with business clients and partners

·         Understand business structures and processes

·         Stay updated on business needs, challenges and process changes

·         Develop strong relationships with business owners

·         Apply modern methods of data presentation and exploratory data analysis to visualize data

·         Complete ad hoc data requests and metrics from business teams

·         Run regular manual reports

·         Work with BIBA and BIE to automate reports into the reporting platform

·         Perform data-modeling consultations

·         Communicate production models, facilitate their business implementation and make modifications

·         Take initiative and work with a sense of urgency

·         Understand data from databases using SQL

Requirements      

·         Strong communication skills

·         Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

·         Experience applying statistical packages (R, SPSS, SAS) for data analysis

What'll Make You Special

·         Master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics or an applied science field

·         One year of experience in a relevant field ( Statistical )
