SQL REPORT DEVELOPER CONSULTANT

HQ in Houston, TX

3 month contract with potential extensions

Must have very good communications skills

 

·         STRONG SSRS EXPERIENCE

 

DUTIES INCLUDE: 

• Gather report requirements from business to ensure report encapsulates all the data needs the business requires to operate the business or to make fact based business decisions.
• Utilizes SQL, SQL Server Data Tools, Excel or any other software available or required to deliver required data set to the business.
• Evaluate existing reports and works with business to determine changes required due to new business unit data migrating into existing data set. 

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

·         Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

·         At least two - four years of experience developing complex reports. 

• Strong data warehousing and understanding of star schemas.
• Solid database programming skills in SQL including design and implementation of complex stored procedures, views, and SQL statements.
• Knowledge of standards and best practices used in conjunction with developing reports and dashboards.
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment, with ability to initiate solutions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate high level of customer service with ability to organize projects and tasks in a demanding, multi-tasking environment while adhering to time lines.
• Ability to creatively refine business requests, deliver rapid solutions and provide end users with improved decision making.
• Strong technical, analytical and communications skills.
