Job Title: Mobile Application Architect
Duration: Long-term Contract
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Overall Responsibilities:
• Overall technical lead for (iOS) mobile enterprise application development
• Guide Delivery team on optimal application development and deployment
• Manage the design and rollout of ongoing iOS application related architecture
• Continue making recommended improvements that streamline application deployment and architectural efficiencies
• Help drive security standardization for both internal and external contractors (technicians)
• Continuously evaluate architectures against emerging technology trends or business growth areas and target areas of opportunity to ensure performance and capacity exceed demand.
• Interface with business and technology partners to develop a roadmap and guide implementation teams towards a common architecture vision across technology, processes, and tools.
• Serve as the primary technical architecture contact with business clients and act as mentor or resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Ensure technology solutions are designed, developed, and implemented to meet business needs.
• Own the end-to-end technical design for initiatives in close partnership with the development and operations leaders.
• Perform analysis of user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper requirement specifications.
• Collaborates with Software Engineers, Operations Analysts, and Data Configuration Specialist to negotiate and define technology solutions and deliver.
• Perform tuning and optimization of batch jobs and or DB related tuning experience.
• Assists in the planning and design of new or upgraded systems. Interacts with departments to implement improvements in process.
• Identifies opportunities and recommends course of action. Writes detailed business requirements and translates into system requirements to present solutions, including impacts, to other team members and parties.
• Automate to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency across systems and business processes.
• Build and manage plans for capacity management and performance management.
• Ensure technologies and processes are simple, standard, and integrated.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience architecting, designing, developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise web application solutions
• 5+ years experience architecting, design, developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise mobile applications leveraging back office infrastructure
• Understanding of MVC application frameworks for both web and mobile targets
• Proven success working directly with business owners or analysts to help technology teams interpret complex business requirements and deliver a compliant solution in a timely manner
• A healthy balance of technical savvy, business acumen, and subject matter expertise
• Experience acting as an architectural lead both for internal colleagues and third-party development vendors
• Experience with the strengths and weaknesses of multiple security frameworks for both web and mobile applications
• Must have familiarity with mobile device management systems
• Experience using Jira, Rally, and/or VersionOnefor Agile team process facilitation
Desirable Skills:
· Development experience with Objective C and/or Swift
· Experience with Airwatch Mobile Device Management
· Experience integrating mobile clients with SAML identity providers, preferably Active Directory Federated Services
· Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) infrastructure and web flows
