Description:
Functional Project Manager not a technical PM. This position requires experience in managing large projects end to end and with full ownership & responsibility. The candidate should have excellent stakeholder management skills. Banking and Experience in managing Data consolidation initiatives (multiple systems feeding data into one or multiple systems) OR Banking Regulatory compliance projects is mandatory.
Below are further details of the other regular PM responsibilities :
The project manager has end-to-end responsibility and accountability for success of the project deliverables. The project manager manages project planning, resources, budget, and project timeline through effective delivery, navigating and leading the team through effective issue, risk and action identification, socialization and resolution. Key responsibilities of the milestone project manager include:
Overall responsibility and accountability for success of the project deliverables
o Ensures an appropriate communications plan
o Ensures an agreed resource plan
o Ensures a complete project plan (WBS)
o Ensure a complete understanding of interdependencies with other projects
o Ensures project remains on track in terms of Scope, Timeline, and Budget
§ Chairs project status meetings with relevant key stakeholders
§ Facilitates discussion and communication regarding project status across the team
§ Manages project Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions
o Drives resolution approach (e.g. Mitigate, Accept, etc.)
o Gains agreement on ownership and resolution approach
o Escalates as necessary and appropriate
§ Manages project budget
• Elicits forecasts from each of the technology disciplines participating in the project
• Reviews forecast to actuals to identify variances
• Resolves discrepancies and variances
o Determines root cause
o Follow up and ensures appropriate adjustments
• Periodically reviews project status / variances with the team and program management
o Participates in and/or drives higher order discussions regarding project approach and strategy
