API Developer

Developer will be responsible for design, creation, testing, and maintenance of API/web services applications that will both drive our software engineering efforts and provide crucial control and reporting tools for our user. Specific responsibilities include:
· Design, Develop and Architect APIs , features and enhancements with an emphasis on clean and highly efficient code
· Implement new API methods that expose new system functionality internal users in a consistent and secure fashion
· Collaborate with the business users, development team, data team and support teams to increase productivity by enhancing our suite of internal web tools
· Manage a stack of interacting technologies that comprise live, heavily utilized web applications
Requirements:
· 6+ years developing web services. REST experience is preferred but SOAP will be accepted.
· 5+ years of professional programming experience, at least 3 in server-side programming
· 5+ years of experience with concurrent and parallel programming techniques
· Excellent knowledge of the HTTP protocol and different authentication methods (HTTP auth, OAuth, etc.)
· Strong in Web APIs, REST, SOA/Web services development using C# . Net/Java programming language and frameworks
· Working knowledge of client access methods to remote APIs and services
· Working knowledge of serialization formats (XML, JSON, etc.), and their relative strengths and weaknesses
· Web development experience - HTML5, CSS3 and JS
· Requires extensive hands on experience with MS SQL/Oracle development and database design involving normalization/de-normalization, complex stored procedures, queries, views, triggers, functions, etc.
Percentage breakdown of Job: 70% - API/Web services, 30% Web programming
