Direct Client:: Phone/Skype Hire

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 24+ months

Rate: Good

 

Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:

 

•                    Review of the entire GroupWise system including; GW agent availability, scheduled database checks and POA backup jobs

•                    Provide 1st level support for 7x24 Call Center focusing on GroupWise trouble calls for the following issues; GW client issues, archiving issues and Internet E-Mail delivery issues

•                    General GroupWise administration including; Distribution List maintenance, Calendar/Resource maintenance, Generic Account and User mailbox maintenance

•                    Review our E-Mail security-scanning environment making sure daily definition updates are applied. Create/adjust exceptions as necessary for reliable Internet E-Mail delivery

•                    Restore deleted E-Mail from users mailboxes

•                    Support GroupWise investigative requests

•                    Monitor OES cluster nodes including; cron jobs, resource utilization and OS patching

•                    Participate in ITS consolidation projects (i.e.: O365 and Datacenter consolidation)

 

Skills Needed

•                    Minimum of 72 consecutive months supporting GroupWise versions 6/7 and 8 which must include experience supporting/troubleshooting GroupWise GWIA and Internet E-Mail (SMTP) connectivity

•                    Minimum of 36 consecutive months experience running GroupWise 7/8 on Novell OES/OES2 Clusters Services for Linux (must be Novell Cluster Services for Linux, not Novell Cluster Services for NetWare)

•                    Minimum of 48 consecutive months of general support (including troubleshooting, monitoring, OS patching, Linux scripting, etc.) for enterprise Linux application environments (E-Mail, java, web servers, web services or LDAP)

•                    Minimum of 36 consecutive months supporting McAfee Enterprise Security products and/or appliances

•                    Minimum of 36 consecutive months supporting GroupWise 7/8 in an enterprise environment of 5000+ mailboxes; including back-end and client support for GroupWise upgrades and GroupWise patches

•                    Minimum of 72 consecutive months administering and supporting other Novell products including; eDirectory, SuSE Linux 9/10/11

•                    Minimum of 36 consecutive months of supporting Blackberry-GroupWise integration

•                    Minimum of 24 consecutive months of professional experience utilizing an existing VMWare infrastructure, for various Linux Server builds

•                    Minimum of 36 consecutive months experience supporting HP Proliant servers in a SAN environment  (HP EVA or EMC VNX preferred)

•                    Minimum of 12 months experience supporting (including scripting) open-source monitoring tools (like Nagios, openNMS or Xymon (formally hobbit))
