Sr. JavaScript Engineer

Work Location: Palo Alto, CA but can be performed remote however candidate should be local to Bay Area

Duration: 1 year contract

Responsibilities:
o Design, document, and implement cloud-enabled apps on a variety of platforms (HTML5 a MUST, Android, iOS, Windows, etc.)
o Maintain and troubleshoot existing cloud-enabled apps
o Work as part of a tight-knit team that spans China and US developers
o Participate in design, code reviews, and technological planning for the larger Cloud Services team

Skills/Experience:
o 5+ years of software engineering experience
o 5+ years of JavaScript and CSS experience
o 5+ years of experience integrating with and/or creating REST APIs
o 5+ years of mobile app development using at least one of the following: Android, Objective-C, Enyo, or any cutting-edge JavaScript framework,
o Comfortable developing and troubleshooting in a multi-OS environment
o Designing and integrating software applications running on multiple platform types into overall architecture
o Outstanding written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills with internal and external team members
o Solid knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object oriented software design
o Experience in overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions
o Extensive experience with multiple software applications design tools and languages
o Evaluating forms and processes for software applications testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
o Fast Learner able to pick up new concepts quickly
o Sense of humor, or at least ability to laugh in the face of tough situations (of which there will be many) is a must
o Mastery in English and local language
o Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels
o Experience working with a remote team
o Ability to work closely with others and open to feedback
o Excellent communication and organization skills
o Excellent Teamwork skills
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
