Role: QA Lead 
Location: NYC
Duration: Around 3 months

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

DOHMH is planning and working towards building a new platform for Electronic Vital Events Registration named eVital, it is a mission –critical enterprise application used for the registration, correction, archiving and issuance of NYC Birth & Death certificates.
This role will be responsible for taking ownership of complete testing phase for development and delivery of eVital System.

The Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst will perform the following tasks including but not limited to:

• Developing detailed guidance documents to validate test cases based on business requirements and design documents.
• Responsible to ensure requirements coverage during sign off.
• Collaborate with BA to ensure RTM is accurate.
• Responsible for providing direction, oversight and guidance to other QA team members.
• Establish appropriate sampling for validation.
• Responsible for reviewing framework and documenting feedback.
• Communicating and reporting validation findings.
• The candidate should be able to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical, functional and management staff.
• In addition, the candidate should be able to collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to review test cases and test results.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- A minimum of 7 years' experience gathering and documenting functional requirements for technology projects.
- Strong experience in software testing and backend database testing.
- Experience in defining test scenarios and writing detailed test cases based on functional business requirements and design document.
- Experience in Functional Testing, Automated Regression testing, automated performance testing and data validation/migration testing.
- Experience testing .Net applications.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database structures, including ability to query data and create test data.
- Experience using HP testing tool (HP Quality Center, LoadRunner and QuickTest Pro) and Sharepoint.
- Must have a working knowledge of QA methodologies and processes.
- Knowledge of technology especially web based applications (.net, java), technical design and system infrastructure
- Demonstrates a developed understanding and interest in internet technologies and browser-based computing.
- Strong Leadership ability, Good interpersonal Skills, Problem solving skills & Time management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in organization and communication
- Ability to understand, in detail, new system capabilities and functions
- Very strong technology background with good understanding of application development/methodologies
- Ability to manage people to ensure they meet their deliverables
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

- A Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Knowledge of business process around vital events (registration, management, archive and analysis)
- Experience implementing Payment Processing
- Experience implementing Online Order Management
- Experience working with legacy systems
- Experience working with government agencies preferably NYC
- Knowledge of various project methodologies like Agile, Scrum, PMP preferred
- Experience working on Mobile Solutions
