Role: Big Data / Cloud Admin

Location: West Chester PA, 19380

Phone and Skype if not local

Duration: 11 Months

 

 

Professional Requirements

•         Strong experience is Big data technologies like Hadoop, MongoDB, nosql

•         Experience in open soruce technologies like Apache Kafka, Strom, couch base

•         5-6 years experience with Linux and performance analysis in a Linux environment

•         Strong Experience with scripting perl or python

•         5-6 years Operations management experience (ideally in a 24x7 environment) with outage and incident management

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills (great team player with the ability to work independently)

•         Experience supporting Web logic Servers in a Linux operating environment

 

Other Requirements:

•         Must be able to work independently

•         Problem Management

•         Train and Mentor junior team members

•         Java, web logic experience is a plus

 

Education Requirements:

•         Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

•         Field of Study: Engineering, Computer Science

•         Years' Experience: Generally requires 8+ (10 preferred) years of experience

 

Responsibilities:

•         Work on environment build out and support

•         Drive outage calls and perform RCA. Work on Problem management

•         Proactively look at improvements that need to be done on applications and implement them

•         Participate in on call rotation

 

Technical Skills

•         Main skill set requirement is Couch base, Kafka, Nosql, Cassandra
