Description

Senior Application Developer with strong database This hands-on strategic position provides the opportunity to deliver software solutions and will enable the right candidate to contribute significantly to the success of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Gather requirements from stakeholders, and write functional and technical specifications

•  Develop and enhance software based on business requirements

•  Develop software based on conceptual and technical designs; define and conduct unit testing

•  Work closely with the project managers to guarantee timely delivery

•  Collaborate effectively within a global IT environment across multiple divisions

Experience and Skills:

•  Minimum 7 years experience in information technology as an application developer

•  Proven ability to manage diverse client and stakeholder relationships and to collaborate effectively with colleagues

•  Proven problem solving skills and the ability to independently debug and diagnose problems

•  Expert-level proficiency with relational database design and SQL programming in SQL Server or Sybase

•  Experience in developing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)

•  Expert level proficiency with C#

•  Proficient with ETL tools such as SSIS, Pervasive or Informatica

•  End to end knowledge of business intelligence and data warehousing architectures

•  Proficient with reporting platforms such as Microstrategy, Actuate, Business Objects or SSRS

•  Experience in developing and using Business Intelligence data marts and tools such as semantic models, cubes, facts and dimensions

•  Knowledge of smart data presentation (scorecards, dashboards and other advanced analytics)

•  Excellent understanding of project methodologies such as SDLC, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.

•  Excellent understanding of messaging protocols such as SOAP, MQ Series, FIX, SWIFT

•  Familiarity with scheduling software such as Autosys or Control-M

•  Ability to work on multiple projects, manage user expectations and complete work requests within the stated or expected deadlines

•  Strong analytical and problem solving skills

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
