Position: SENIOR ORACLE e-BUSINESS SUITE DBA PROFILE (Oracle Apps DBA)
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12 Months
Basic Skills:
• At least 8-10 years of professional experience of full-life cycle ORACLE DBA experience required
• Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite Database Environment required
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Team work and interpersonal skills
• English fluent
Complementary skills:
• Expertise with GRID controls to manage, monitor and administer oracle databases
• Experience in Capacity planning, storage management, db trending and estimations.
• Experience with 10G/11G RAC, ASM, Data guard, RMAN and GRID
• Experience in large multi-terabyte instances including partition management
• Experience with OLAP and OLTP database modeling
• Linux OS and scripting experience
• Experience automating DBA task such as change management and database mentoring
• Deep experience in architecting, and managing large enterprise Oracle database environments
• Knowledge of storage subsystems (Dell/EMC), NT and/or Unix scripting are a plus
• Programming experience in a multi-tier environment
• The ability to effectively use design and productivity tools in building applications and database components
This professional should be able to:
• Install, monitor, and maintain Oracle RDBMS, Oracle 10g/11g/12g Applications Server
• Install and maintain Oracle eBusiness Suite client software
• Work closely LINUX Administrator and Storage Teams to ensure that the technical environment is in place and operational throughout the project
• Define the architecture and process of Oracle databases
• Establish, coordinate, and maintain databases and database environment
• Create and manage the databases from startup through shutdown, granting privileges, database patching and monitoring performance
• Perform and maintain the cloning process and standard from prod to dev and dev to dev environments including database and Apps tiers
• Develop and manage the backup and recovery process
• Define logical and physical database schema's
• Administer Oracle Database security
• Understand database sizing, index requirements and performance and optimizing issues
• Establish load balancing and fault tolerance for Oracle 10g/11g/12g Applications Server and Forms Server
• Apply Oracle eBusiness Suite patches and upgrades
• Troubleshoot Oracle eBusiness Suite related issues
• Define and manage Oracle eBusiness Suite concurrent managers and batch processing
• Define efficient use of SQL in various application methods and tune SQL procedures to work optimally with DB and 11i
• Use diagnostic and performance tools to tune applications
• Perform archive and purging functions provided by Oracle eBusiness Suite
• Install and administer the change control and version control software
• Assist Review and approve custom developed SQL procedures, packages, DDL, and queries
• Identify the basic Oracle RAC and GRID architecture, database design concepts, data integrity constraint implementation and security issues as they relate to the implementation of applications
• Identify the basic architecture underlying Oracle eBusiness Suite, including critical tables, indexes and views
• Strong Knowledge in Weblogic and Weblogicinstallation and cloning isa must.
• SSL Configuration and troubleshooting.
• BIG-IP set-up configuration knowledge.
• OHS installation, maintenance/cloning and troubleshooting (both 11 and 12 versions)
