Position: Systems Analyst with SQL (must be at least 8/10 on SQL w/excellent communication skills)
Location: Bellevue, WA.
Duration: 6-12+ Months
Required Skills:
• Written communication skills very important, clear spoken English and written skills
• They are creating specific functional specification docs (FSD)
• This is to do with the definition of how things fit together and how data is exchanged and small elements of how the users use the system
• Translating business requirements into design
• Working with Business Analysts in sales ops side, but liaisons also with developers
• Not coders but must understand or have coded, they will be creating ideas. Gathering information and translating people's great ideas into great designs
• Lots of requirements from various areas of the company
• The process is that the idea gets created, then submitted and goes thru the analysis
• Questions: Does the idea have an impact. The SA needs to be able to be succinct with communication and explain the business function spec
• 1st level - Analysis of the assessment
• 2nd level - If it makes it thru it then goes thru feasibility phase
• 3rd level - Capitol assessment
Work on projects that are in support of the sales commissions and revenue adapter which is integrating data from various sources into one big integrated data store, being cleansed via auto balancing controls, and then dumped into Scorecard, which is a third party vendor
• Take all the data flowing in from prepaid and postpaid (monthly contracts) from the client's 1,700 stores and 17,000 dealers and changes to customer records and store it all in the one big integrated data store
• Work with the business and development teams to design the interfaces and document them into FSD and TDD's
• Experience working with big data, millions of transactions, and tables with 5 million rows and be able to help work through design issues
• Participate in the business analysis and technical design sessions with business and technical staff to develop requirements documents and ETL specifications
• Will need strong design skills focused on scalability, performance, and data integration
• Understand data analysis and data acquisition
• Understand data, data sources, and help to define quick ways to get data
• Experience with high volume, transaction based systems with millions of records/transaction a day (they are dealing with scalability and performance issues in support of real time data)
• Ability to apply business rules and process data for mission critical financial information
• Experience writing and understanding SQL and understanding ETL development tools
• Experience in logical and physical database design and implementation
• Experience with SOA and Enterprise Service Platforms
• Financial, telecom, or retail IT experience
• Exposure building Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, State Modeling, Process Decomposition, and Use Case Scenarios
• Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of the system development life cycle
• Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables
• Experience working with Oracle (v 10 or 11g), SQL, and/or Informatica and worked with various data sources (data aggregation) in support of data warehouse or analytics for business purposes
• Understand Informatica workflows using Informatica as an ETL tool
• Ability to design and develop ETL mappings for source systems data extractions, data transformations, data staging, movement, and aggregation and be able to develop standard and re-usable mappings and mapplets using various transformations such as expression, aggregator, joiner, source qualifier, router, lookup, and filter
• Ability to write and modify SQL stored procedures and/or be able to write queries in Microsoft SQL Server to create and upload data into tables
• Experience with the design and integration with SOA and enterprise service platforms; need to understand service models
• Ideal to have a development background
• Must be articulate and have very strong communication skills
