Statistical Data Analyst/Statistical Programmer. 

 

This is the Business Intelligence Team and they are Advanced Analytics.   They are converting their tool set from SAS to SPSS.  SPSS is a  hard tool set to find, so someone that has SAS is needed.  The current team doesn't have enough bandwidth to support this project  and need a contractor to come in and assist them.   

 

His top 3 skill sets are:

 

1.  Statistical Background

2.  Data Warehouse /ETL Analyst background

3.  What tools they have i.e. SAS, SPSS etc. 

 

 

Would like someone who has relevant skills in data warehousing and statistical tools. 

 

 

This role will focus on providing technical programming support using SPSS tools. 

The Data Analyst will assume responsibility to convert existing statistical reports currently in SAS to SPSS. 

The individual will work closely with report owners to fully understand details of the report, review SAS code, and then convert to SPSS environment.

Desirable skills include statistical programming experience, working knowledge of SPSS Stats v22 and SPSS Modeler v16, as well as practical experience with SAS programming.

 

 

Skills             

 

-Research data questions/issues  recommend enhancements to data acquisition/movement process to improve data accuracy

-Recommend / refine information about the data; define rules to evaluate data quality

-Understand, capture, and oversee business rules applied to data / information

-Monitor/understand/report data quality levels; proactively recommend action(s)

-Provide ad hoc data subsets to meet critical business needs

-Align to standards and best practices; document as required

-Working knowledge of SPSS, SAS, Python or R Project statistical tools strongly desired

-Experience with descriptive, exploratory & inferential statistical analysis
