QA AUTOMATION CONSULTANT

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation consultant with strong hands testing in Mobile, Desktop and Tablet environments for a 12+ month consulting assignment with our direct client in Wyoming, MI. to provide hands on development expertise in the areas of software development, test automation and deployment. DUTIES

Provide timely updates to the Team Lead and Project Manager on the status of the quality objectives for the project. Assist in the development of automated testing in desktop, mobile, and tablet environments for our client's eCommerce ordering application. Execute test plans according to project schedule. Maintain test coverage at specified levels where applicable. Participate in the review of automated test scripts.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

To be considered, candidates must have:

At least 5 years of strong software engineering background with a focus on Quality Assurance Automation with:

 Web technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, XML, and JavaScript)

• A strong commitment to software quality

• Experience working with Selenium WebDriver is desired

• Appium experience is a plus

 

5+ years of IT experience in testing java web based applications, Very strong experience with the design, creation, and execution of automation scripts (Selenium is desired, Appium experience is a plus)

5+ years' experience in automated testing for both front and back end web applications web based applications

5+ years of automation experience-need to have experience developing frame work automations from scratch

Must have cross browsers testing experience on PC and Macs, IE8.9.10, Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.

Mobile testing for all devices/mobile operating systems required (iOS and Android)

Thorough understanding of Requirements Traceability Matrices, Risk Assessment, Code Review moderation

Experience with Waterfall / Agile methodologies

Develop and maintain test plans a plus

Experience in Bug Reporting, record, track and manage defects

Experience in Jira, Toad and Confluence strongly desired

Experience working with version control systems

Ability to understand and write basic SQL queries to perform data verification

Effective time management, organization, and communication skills

Proven analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills

Fluent in the written and spoken English language

Ability to work as a member of a diverse team
