Position: Scrum Master

Location: SAN JOSE, CA

Duration: 6 months

 

JD:

·         7 years or more experience in software delivery, preferably IaaS/PaaS

·         Experience with Agile development methodologies

·         Experience in programming skills in Java, scripting language such as Python

·         Strong communication skills; assertive, situationally aware and passionate

·         Knowledgeable and adept regarding Agile/scrum processes; able to be the voice of reason and escalate effectively

·         Certified Scrum Master with experience using Agile work management tools

·         Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, practices, rules and tools, familiarity with high performance teams concepts

·         Knowledge of Openstack, Cloud Foundry & Continuous Integration DevOps model

·         Knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, Rally, JIRA

·         Understand advanced architecture principles and design practices

·         Strong knowledge/experience with test methodologies

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, prioritize them and manage time effectively

·         Manage scrum teams, facilitating scrum process, deliver high quality, high impact scrum ceremonies including: planning, retrospective and grooming sessions

·         Champion Agile practices within the team, be an Agile role model, coach and mentor for teams under the organization.

·         Drive the day-to-day activities of multiple scrum teams within vital CIBU programs

·         Support the creation and growth of high performance scrum teams

·         Own and promote the maturity of scrum teams by influencing key leaders and advocating for an Agile/lean culture

·         Tracking, resolving and escalating impediments, promote impediment management process across scrum teams and leadership structures

·         Helping the team determine their velocity and use this to help PO/architect/team perform the release planning

·         Facilitating Sprint planning meetings, daily stand up, retrospective meetings and other meetings as necessary

·         Working with PO to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint

·         Helping the PO maximizing productivity and helping the team turn the sprint retrospective meeting into an evolutionary experience

·         Acting as process owner for the team, creating a balance with the project's key stakeholder (i.e., POs)

·         Making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum
