Position: Oracle Core DBA

Location: Lincolnshire, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

Availability: Immediate

 

Job Description: NOTE: AT LEAST BUILD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, WITH A PREFERENCE FOR BUILD AND DESIGN. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR DBAs THAT ARE PRIMARILY PRODUCTION/ RUN SUPPORT. 5-8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN BUILD.

 

Technical requirements below:

Oracle DBA Requirement

 

• 5-7 year's of experience with Oracle Releases 10g & 11i

• DBA experience on Unix Platforms (AIX)

• Experience in Development and Production support roles

• This position will primarily be to work woith 100+ developers (good communications skills a must have) on design elements of development.

• Oracle ASM Experience

• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases

• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team

• Ability to interact with development teams, business owners, and various levels of management

• Ensure high availability and performance (require 24x7 pager support on a rotational basis)

• Experience working as part of a team that delivers a high availability service

• Experience in use of Oracle OEM grid control

• Experience in use of Oracle DataGuard

• Pro-actively monitor database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime

• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include application DDL rollout and upgrades

-- Experience/ exposure to data modeling is a strong plus
