QA Automation Engineers
We are helping our client find Several QA Automation Engineers. These are contract and contract to hire roles. The most
important skills needed for this role include:
Continuous Deployment / Test Driven Development (dev and QA delivered in same cycle)
Automation - Able to write scripts in off the shelf Automated tools
Experience or exposure to an Agile environment
Job Description:
This experienced software testing professional will be expected to perform a variety of quality assurance tasks to ensure
that our software products meet quality standards and end-user requirements. While working as part of a cross-functional
project team composed of developers, project managers, product managers, support personnel, and business analysts,
our QA personnel help shape the quality and stability of our software products while making continuous operational
improvements to maximize testing coverage and reduce testing cycle time. The QA Automation Engineer is a key strategic
role on our team responsible for enabling team members to continuously improve testing operations by applying tools
and technologies to develop automation for the testing function. The ideal candidate will be skilled at hands-on testing
throughout the entire software development lifecycle and will be capable of applying industry standard software testing
practices through both manual testing and automation testing. We are looking for someone who is just as passionate as we
are about testing in a complex integrated environment that leverages service oriented architectures and can multi-task in a
dynamic, fast-paced technical environment with rapid development lifecycles.
Experience Requirement:
5+ years of experience developing test automation.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting up data, tools, databases, and applications in support of a 3-tiered integrated test environment
* Using SQL commands to analyze data in relational databases, prepare data for testing purposes, and validate data
integrity
* Strong experience testing front end web applications using javascript, jquery, css ect.
* Creating scripts to compare and validate data results from testing
* Developing test automation that exercises software functionality at the services layer as well as across broader end-to-
end scenarios that involve multiple GUIs and databases when it makes sense.
* Providing QA and automation leadership on Agile and Waterfall project teams
* Partnering productively in a cross-functional team environment with minimal supervision
* Multi-tasking across projects and tasks where flexibility will be expected
* Managing time, priorities, and negotiating tradeoff alternatives
* Communicating effectively
