Mainframe Storage Administrator

Location is Plymouth, MN.  Remote work is a possibility.

Duration: 6+ months to start

Phone or skype interviews for out of state.

 

¨       Must have IBM TS7700 Tape GRID experience.

¨       If we can find someone, I have two interview slots on Monday 10/27 at 2 and 2:30pm CST the manager will interview our people.

 

Description:

Mainframe Storage Administrator

Migrating Mainframe Storage environment from one datacenter to another. 4 other Mainframe Storage Administrators are working on the project

responsibilities
-Candidate will be responsible for identifying tape data to be migrated from an IBM TS7740 library to an IBM TS7720 tape library.
-Ensure the proper setup of the data within SMS so that only needed data is replicated from one data center to another.
-Assist with the creation of a GRID replication environment for the IBM TS7720 environment and build procedures around testing the environment.

z/OS IBM DS8800 disk
DFSMS DFHSM Tape copy Software products
FDR/ABR IBM TS7700
Tape Technology in a GRID replication environment

must have:
Ability to build and maintain an IBM TS7700 Tape GRID replication environment

nice to have:
IBM MGM replication
