We are looking for a Lab Technician to support world's leader in providing IT consulting and software services to the finest global organizations client. This is a 3-6 Months Contract based in Santa Clara and Oregon.
Role: Lab Technician Location: Santa Clara and Oregon Duration: 3-6 Months Contract
Qualifications: · At least two years of professional experience in building and troubleshooting personal computer systems
Skills: · Excellent Knowledge and understanding of the interaction between various components of a Computing Devices (PC) i.e. Processor, Memory, I/O devices, disk drives etc. · Should be proficient using multi-meter, bench power supplies, thermal probes & oscilloscopes. · Experience handling board rework stations, soldering equipment would be an added plus. · Ability to work with Logic Analyzers, digital multi-meter, function generator, JTAG debugger, Data Acquisition systems, BIOS flashing tools etc. · Experience using various Windows , Linux, Android operating systems · Experience in generating Reports, Test documentation using Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel) · Should be able to work as a part of the team, provide support to other team members across assignment areas when required · Possess good communication and organization skills
Responsibilities: · System testing and data collection for various chipsets including desktop, mobile, server processors. · Perform testing activities according to at predefined Test plan, using Data Acquisition Hardware, Software and Automated Test Equipment. · Prepare and load the Device under Test (DUT) onto the Test Equipment, invoke test programs, supervise the DUT till the completion of the test, review the test results and upload/ transfer results to appropriate repositories. · Perform first level of troubleshooting / debug on Test Environment or Device under Test in case of any Test failures. · Create / enhance test scripts based on test and automation requirements. · Maintain complete and accurate record of all results for all Devices under Test that completed the test procedure, whether they passed or failed. In case of failed tests, record observations / provide insights and data associated with the failure. · Provide regular progress reports regarding the status of the test procedure and completion data. · Assemble and maintain Test Systems and equipment including PCs, equipment racks, cabling etc. · Install operating systems, applications, configure PCs, troubleshoot hardware and software errors · Ensure adherence to Lab policies, procedures and material handling guidelines
