SCRUM BA WITH RELEASE MANAGEMENT AND .NET BACKGROUND –

Candidate Profile/ Responsibilities

•             Must have proven track record in successfully building, releasing, and maintaining large-scale applications in a complex technology environment – preferably within a major Global Asset Manager or Investment Banking Group

•             Knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Derivative and/or Equity Trading workflows to assist in product development

•             Involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle, including working directly with the Product Owner, traders, the development team (as well as analysing existing code) to gather requirements and develop feature specifications

•             Ability to take high level business/functional requirements and break it down to sprint ready User Stories

•             Work with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to set release plans and prioritize product feature scope. This also includes preparation of the business case sections for the Software Review milestone gates

•             Facilitating backlog reviews and scope estimation with the Product Owner and Scrum team

•             Facilitate analysis and understanding of requirements between the Product Owner and Scrum team

•             Define scope, high level requirements and conditions of acceptance of new system features

•             Assist the creation and management of product roadmaps, risks and issues

•             Monitor and track team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in migrations and release management and ensure rigor and quality

•             Lead and coordinate the teams release process, including representing the team at the weekly Global Change Approval Board meeting

•             Oversee periodic refreshes of the Pre-Production environments, ensure code sync between Pre-Production and Production, and manage Migration team activities for the execution of job chains in the Pre-Production environment related to Regression Testing

•             Lead the process to gather, analyse, interpret and present monthly metrics by extracting data from ServiceNow to drive the team's Continuous Improvement and Problem Management process

•             Act as the Fixed Income IT team lead for the planning and coordination for Business Continuity planning and testing

Minimum Qualifications

•             Minimum of 10 years of Financial and/or software services industry background

•             Proven experience in either a Front-office portfolio management/trading or middle office role

•             Practical understanding of Foreign exchange, how ForEx is traded, market participants and the terminology used by traders

•             Understanding of multi-tier technical architectures and relational database structures; familiarity with PL/SQL and C# WinForms a plus

•             7+ years of business systems analysis & working directly with users identifying and documenting reporting requirements

•             7+ plus years of experience working with data and analyzing data

•             SQL data manipulation experience – 5+ years minimum

•             Strong knowledge of RDBMS's (Oracle or MS SQL Server)

•             Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) environment/team focusing on sprint-by-sprint deliveries

•             Change management and configuration management experience

 

Preference given to candidates with the following experience

•             Experience with Fixed Income applications and/or trade order management systems highly desirable

•             Experience with Rally Software Agile suite for Release, Iteration, Backlog grooming, User Story creation and Test Planning

•             Experience with testing of .NET applications

•             Database Design

•             SCRUM Master certification

 

Education

A bachelor's degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a numeric discipline is preferred (or commensurate relevant work experience).
