Short Description:
The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development or execution environment product or set of products. Primary responsibility is to ensure availability and facilitate productive use of a product for Application Teams or end users.
Complete Description:
The consultant must possess strong skills in object-oriented analysis and design with active involvement in all phases of project life cycle. Experience with developing DHSS web enterprise applications a strong plus. Years of Relevant Experience: 7 plus years Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study Role Description: Understand government business process and operations, including familiarity with HIPPA and NJAC regulations. Prior knowledge of health-related data concerns in order to transition business processes into technical requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs by facilitating brainstorming sessions with health professionals. Design product architecture on an enterprise level to expand and incorporate new system functionality for NJIIS, NJIMODS and integration with other DHSS and DHS enterprise applications. In depth knowledge in Weblogic enterprise server configuration and installation on a stand alone and a clustered infrastructure. Experience with architecting and implementing J2EE, expertise in components design using Java and strict adherence to J2EE design patterns. Experience in design and development modular re-usable components for Java Enterprise Applications using UML, Rational. Ability to analyze or recommend commercially available software or other IT architectural components. Ability to prioritize work and establish deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress of team members. Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the project team. Develop contingency plans as necessary. Manage requirement gathering and change management process. Execution of all responsibilities with little direct supervision.
