The Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking highly qualified, energetic System Administrators/ Network Analysts - Microsoft Windows & VMware Server Administrator experts - to help lead our Security Audit Remediation Project; existing knowledge of our organization and the customers we support is desired. The Security Audit Remediation Project will provide oversight, management and leadership to an effort to bring the executive branch agencies into compliance with hundreds of outstanding audit findings spanning the enterprise infrastructure and multiple applications. Project establishes a task force to document efforts, implement technical remediation plans, prepare procedures supporting Policies, and document compensating controls. The project manager will drive this team to ensure responsibility and accountability of project deliverables and provide regular dashboard reporting to line managers and executive management team.
This position, as a member of the task force will be dedicated to the support of Microsoft Windows and VMware server related activities/tasks for this project and will work with the Project Manager to document efforts, implement technical remediation plans, prepare procedures, supporting policies, and document compensating controls for a diverse Windows/VMware system environment. Task force will be comprised of network engineers, server administrators, application developers, DR subject matter expert, and a technical writer to augment work that will need to be done to execute. All task force members will provide regular dashboard reporting to the Project Manager.
Description
• 3-5 years experience as a Windows and VMware vSphere Systems Administrator
• Experience on managing Windows Server2003 & 2008 and VMware vSphere.
• Understanding of fundamental networking and distributed computing environment concepts
• Experience planning for and performing backups, restores and disk imaging
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in deploying managing and troubleshooting of (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, WSUS)
• Reliable, competent, motivated
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
• Be a team player with the ability to work well with others
• Possess outstanding troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Be an energetic self-starter who shows personal initiative
• Possess the ability to multitask
• Able to quickly grasp the needs of this engagement.
• Be an independent thinker who's not afraid to suggest alternate solutions as well make, admit and learn from their mistakes
• Should be Graduate
• MCSA, MCSE or MCITP Certified
