Minimum Requirements:
Job summary
The primary function of this position is to design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions that leverage data warehouse, BI reporting and analytic solutions. The areas of focus will be the development of reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain reports using Cognos 10.2 Report Studio
· Develop and maintain dashboards and apply data visualization best practices
· Define and document setup and configuration parameters
· Define and follow Cognos development best practices
· Provide subject matter expertise in Cognos BI 10.2 solution architecture
· Provide system support for the Cognos environment (Cognos Administration for both the development and production environments)
· Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution
· Coordinating with Software Testers and Release Management to integrate the final work product into the production environment by creating deployment files
Description:
Experience Required:
· 10 – 15 years of BI/DW and data architecture experience.
· Familiarity with development methodologies
· 5+ years experience and a deep technical knowledge with Cognos Report Studio
· 3+ years experience and a technical knowledge with Cognos Administration
· 3+ years experience with Event Studio
· 3+ years experience with Analysis Studio
· Experience with Cognos 10.2 Dynamic Cubes
· Experience with Cognos 10 DQM
· Strong PL/SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries
· Senior level skills in building Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and Active Reports using IBM Cognos 10.x

· Skilled at identifying flat areas and providing feedback to employees for performance improvement.
Other:
· Familiarity with visual design concepts for dashboards is a strong plus
· Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in P&C Insurance systems and processes is a strong plus
