SAP HR Project Manager

Work Location: Houston, TX

6+ Months

GC or Citizen

 

MANDATORY SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree.

PMP certification or equivalent.

7 or more years' experience as a Project Manager specifically managing multi-state SAP HR projects including Payroll, Time, OM/PA and Benefits for large corporations

Minimum 10 consecutive years overall SAP HR specialization/focus

Demonstrated knowledge of what it takes to integrate acquired companies into an existing instance of SAP

Experienced user of Project Management productivity tools such as: MS Project, EXCEL, Visio, WORD, POWERPOINT, Sharepoint.

EXCELLENT (10 out of 10) communication and interpersonal skills

Strong knowledge of development life cycle methodology.

An unwavering focus on goals and a proven track record of delivering real and measurable results.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Natural leader who can achieve results in a highly matrixed environment characterized by frequently shifting responsibilities.

 

DESIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

Any experience in the utility or power generation industries is a Huge plus

Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience a SAP HR techno-functional background PRIOR to becoming a project manager with a focus in the following areas:

Schemas

Wage Types

Garnishment

Tax Reporting

 CATS

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gather Requirements – solicit information from business partners and subject matter experts to document requirements in a detailed and testable format for stakeholder approvals

Facilitate – hold project meetings and document key discussion points and action items

Control Scope – manage stakeholder expectations to execute agreed upon requirement and control scope through change management procedures

Project Management Methodology – execute NRG documentation throughout lifecycle of projects

Project Status – prepare status reports for stakeholders and senior management

Escalate any issues endangering the success of a project
