Unix/Solaris Admin.
Parsippany, NJ
Long term contract
 
Must-haves
- A minimum of 8 years Solaris/Unix administration - preferably 10+++
- Strong Solaris experience (versions 8, 9, 10, 11)
- Veritas Cluster Servers
- Basic Storage knowledge
- Veritas Volume manager
- Excellent communication skills and soft skills
- L2/L3 experience
- Must have experience in a large environment (minimum 1,000 servers)
- Financial background OR high pressure environment

 

Plusses
- AIX experience
- Lead or managerial role

 

Role:
This individual will be part of the L3 Unix support team and will act as the final point of escalation. The team is supporting 22,000 servers and mustbe able to troubleshoot at a high level. Daily responsibilities will include working with high level employees from application and business teams and assisting with incident resolution/ticketing management. Excellent communication and soft skills at imperative for this role. The SA will be expected to handle high level issues from start to resolution, and follow up.
