Job Title: Java Architect
Location: Birmingham, AL
Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire

Requirements:
Bachelor degree or higher in the discipline of technology and/or business;
Five plus (5+) years of professional experience working and programming in cloud-based solutions (Spring technologies /Java, Web Services and RESTful APIs, JPA/Hibernate, etc.);
Two plus (2)+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing highly scalable and business continuity solutions using the cloud;
Hands-on experience with some of the following cloud service providers: Amazon Web Services, Google Web Services, or other;
Experience working with cloud-based applications and migrating applications, services or infrastructure to the cloud;
Hands-on experience in creating and deploying complex cloud infrastructure solutions;
Familiarity with networking and security technologies, such as routing, switching, firewalls, etc.;
Knowledge of prominent cloud standards, best practices, and specifications;
Familiarity working with most typical OpenSource tools and platforms;
In-depth knowledge of security standards and concepts;
Ability to detect and prevent issues and points of failures;
Familiarity with unit testing, build automation tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Hudson, etc.) and other functional test automation techniques(JUnit and other tools).
