Title: Hyperion Essbase Planning Consultant

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Duration: 3 months - long term

 

Experience:

The position will require the candidate to be involved in the entire development life cycle from requirements analysis thru design, testing, implementation to post-production support.

The candidate would be expected to have a thorough knowledge of Hyperion suite of products including Essbase, Planning, Financial Reporting, EAS and APS.

The candidate should be an expert in Implementing/developing/tuning Essbase / Planning application which uses data sources such as large data warehouses, ERP systems and other data sources, and integration of data with complex hierarchical dimensions.

 

5+ years in designing and developing application software using Oracle System 9 or later EPM suite of products

5+ year’s experience in multidimensional analysis, designing applications and databases, designing and building dimensions, loading data, calculating data and aggregation techniques

Thorough knowledge of ESSCMD and MAXL command language

Thorough knowledge of end user tools including Smartview, Visual Explorer, and Essbase Add-in for Excel

Demonstrated knowledge of drill to detail functionality

Demonstrated knowledge of both native security and Shared Services security

Must be familiar with current version of Oracle 11g, Advanced SQL and PL/SQL, Application development experience in an Oracle environment, Data Modeling/Relational Database Design

Working knowledge of networks

Working knowledge of Linux OS

Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes

Working knowledge of ETL processes

Working knowledge of data modeling concepts both relational and dimensional

Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting

Working knowledge Hyperion EPM infrastructure

Working knowledge of automated job scheduling

Experience with Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL
