Senior J2EE Developer

Secaucus, NJ

J2EE Developer/Analyst will work on the Enterprise Product Information Center (EPIC), and be responsible for designing, developing, and unit testing enhancements to this and other J2EE applications. Working in a small team, the developer must be able to support all phases of the SDLC and be able to follow operational and audit procedures on a consistent basis. The position requires a strong technical background with good estimating skills. The developer will interact on a regular basis with business analysts and users. Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to collaborate with other development groups in the organization when required. The developer must be able to work on several different tasks at the same time. Candidate must be highly motivated, highly productive and able to work independently with minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities

• Interact with business analysts to understand and clarify requirements.

• Provide high-level estimates and system impact analysis.

• Work with data modeler to ensure fulfillment of application requirements.

• Design and document enhancements, including modular changes.

• Design and develop Enterprise Application components: EJBs, Servlets, JSPs

• J2EE application packaging and deployment

• Develop Prototypes, where applicable.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

• J2EE expert with a minimum of 7 years experience.
  
• Proficent with Rational application toolkit with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  
• Experience writing structured design documents.
  
• Knowledge of SQL required.
  
• Knowledge of iSeries environment required.
  
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related area required
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
