Requirement for VMware Virtualization expert in Middletown, NJ : JOB ID

Position Title : VMware Virtualization expert

Location: Middletown, NJ

Duration: 6-12 Months +

Job Description :

• Virtualization: Expert in VMware or/and KVM           
  
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts on the VMware or KVM.
  
• Experience in RAID, Multipathing and scanning storage LUNs and bringing them to OS control.
  
• LINUX Logical Volume Management(LVM),Remote server management with HP ILO.
  
• Experience in Regular network protocols like SSH, DNS, NFS, Kick start installations and centralized repositories. 
  
• Performance tuning and Process management. 
  
• Vcenter experience, experience in VMWARE hypervisor and ESXi services.
  
• Experience in online and offline migration, High Availability, cluster configurations , HP-Virtual Connect, HP C7000 or any other blade enclosures. 
  
• Experience in Hitachi Storage (HUS) and good understanding of these concepts.
  
• Operating system: Expert in RHEL 6 or above version, Solaris and Windows experience are added advantage.
  
• Having working experience in maintaining complex Windows / Linux / Solaris and VMware environments. 
  
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts, Understanding of IPv6 and experience with IPv6 implementation.
  
• Good understanding of application protocols – DHCP, Radius, LDAP, DNS, and Radius and Scripting knowledge Perl, shell will be added advantage.
  
• Network troubleshooting skills, Good Documentation skills, basic knowledge of creating methods and procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  

Soft Skills : 

• Should posses excellent communication skills as client interaction is required.
  
• Should be a self learner, should be very good at troubleshooting and administration skills.
  
• Should be a good team player and ability to grasp high level instructions is very important, Investigate new features, Lab support.
  
• Replicate and test production setup in a lab prior to deployment. 
  
• VMware/ Redhat certification will be an added advantage.
