Database Architect

6 month contract to hire

MUST BE GREEN CARD OR CITIZEN

 

Responsibilities

• Design, development of database objects and procedural code
• Create programs to maintain data integrity in the online transaction processing schemas
• Creating the stored procedures, triggers, constraints and ETL programs

Qualifcations

• BS in Computer Science or Information Systems
• At least 5 years’ experience Data Modeling
• SQL
• Collaborating with other teams while merging data models
• Healthcare experience is a plus

Experience or Equivalent:

- 5+ years’ experience working on relational database platform with emphasis on database code development.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: List unique knowledge, skills, or problem-solving requirements.

- Data modeling tools like ER/Studio or ERWin

- Database design skills including normalization and data warehouse design

- Strong TSQL skills

- Strong SSIS skills

- Strong analytical skills

- Structured troubleshooting skills

- SQL query performance tuning experience

- Experience in the healthcare industry, a plus

 

Toolset:

- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 RDBMS

- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 Integration Services (SSIS)

- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 Analysis Services (SSAS)

- Knowledge and experience with Transact SQL (stored procedure, trigger and constraint development)

- MS-Windows

 

Physical/Mental Requirements:

- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to analyze complex application and business operational issues.

 

The Database Developer will be additionally be responsible for the following tasks:

- Ensuring appropriate and adequate unit test cases are created and enacted

- Ensuring appropriate and detailed documentation for developed modules

- Supporting application developers

- Estimation and timely completion of tasks

- Following quality assurance processes
